Specifically a bachelor of science in Psychology. I plan on becoming a clinical psychologist so maybe a minor that would help in that career, or are minors even that important?

Minors are not important. They take you longer to complete and in the end, they mean nothing. Do yourself a favor, drop the minor and concentrate on getting a 4.0 instead. The higher your GPA, the easier it is to get into grad school. Also, do some work in the field before you graduate, even if it’s only volunteer. You will be up against people who have high GPA’s and real world experience to boot.

biology or human development. my major’s psychology, and my minor is sociology, and it helped me a lot. they have a lot to do with each other. so find something similar to the area of psychology you want to go in. like what do you want to focus on? if you’re going into clinical psy., i do one of those minors. you’re going to be doing mainly research in that field, so either one of those will help you with that. if you want to do observational research, i do the human development. but if you want to work in a lab, do biology.

Sociology, definitely. Especially psychological sociology such as Meadian Role Theory, Dollard and Miller, and others who bridged between the two fields.
